• Fantastic!

We had the pleasure of staying at Son Viguet for a week in July 2016 – grand partents, children and grandchildren – a family holiday gathering 15 people from age 4 to 70. In spite of our high hopes, Son Viguet exceeded our expectations in all aspects: Amazing property with nice bedrooms and a suitable number of bathrooms and toilets. Beautiful outdoor areas overflowed with flowers in strong colors. The pool area is large with lots of space and different areas to hang around – all together or in smaller groups, with gorgeous views both to the mountain side and to the sea. A well equipped kitchen with great possibilities to cook for many people – serving the food to the crowd seated under the roof in the outdoor dining area overviewing Port Andratx – we absolutely loved it. Hamish and his people are excellent hosts, answering questions, giving tips and helping us in any way to have the best time at Son Viguet.

  • Breathtakingly beautiful!

Words cannot express my group’s experience at Son Viguet! From the very beginning, our host was exceptionally helpful in helping us plan our cycling trip to Mallorca. Then, upon arrival, we were met by the friendly property manager who helped us familiarize ourselves with the vinca and settle in. But first, we collectively had our breath taken away by the gorgeous vistas that Son Viguet presents. Perched majestically 3.5kms from Andratx, your gaze follows then down to Puerto Andratx, then finally to the Mediterranean. As whole, the site line spellbindingly captivates you. Son viguet is everything the pictures show it to be. It is an oasis of calm, quiet and reflection. Everything you need for trip of a lifetime is there or can be had in the adjoining towns and villages. Our tips: Car Rental – Use Record Go and buy the express line option – this is crucial to starting your vacation off right. Do not do this any other way, you will regret it! Bike Rental – we used Procycle Hire out of Puerto de Palenca. Bikes were great, but they no longer deliver. I would look elsewhere. Restaurants – you must try Bar Nou in Es Capdella (4km), Ca’n Torrat in Calvia (6km) – the best shoulder of lamb, bar none, on the island! Pizza at the Andratx town square, El Pescador in Sant Elm – you get the finest sunsets in Mallorca thrown in for free. Bar M-46 in Sant Joan if you get out there. Cafe Bellavista in Banyalbufar for lunch if you’re doing the classic 60. And finally Mallorca Cafe Peleton in Can Pastilla (really the beach of Palma just east of the airport) – aimed towards the cycling fraternity with bike racks inside (perfect!). Talk to John the proprietor and tell him the Spirit of the Journey from Canada sent you and you will be well taken care of. I can only say that we were collectively saddened by the prospect of our leaving. If there is a cycling paradise, this is it!

  • The closest to heaven you can get in this lifetime!

Son Viguet in Mallorca, is truly one of the most exceptional destinations that we have ever been to. Steeped in history, and surrounded by breathtaking beauty, the Finca has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored through decades of toil by two generations of ownership. The decorations are peppered with inspiring pieces, gathered over a lifetime of international travel. We loved morning coffee on the rear patio off the kitchen, warming under the early Fall rays; lazy afternoons after a long bike ride, a quick swim and an amazing outdoor shower (in full view of mother nature) lounging on the pool deck; and; evening cocktails before dinner on the front patio overlooking the Port of Andratx as the final rays of the sun finally set beyond the Isle of Ibiza. Rad International were fantastic to deal with for the high end bikes – Mallorca is the biking capital of the Mediterranean and Son Viguet is situated in the best part of the island to easily reach rides that will challenge all levels of riders. Bonnie Lass Charters out of Soller was an awesome choice for a 5 hour cruise up the coast and back to Sa Colobra; and finally the lamb shoulder at C’an Torat in Calvia and the stone oven baked pizza in the town square in Andratx must be eaten to be believed. if you are looking to get a glimpse of heaven in this lifetime, Son Viguet is a must.

  • My thank you letter to Lucie & Hamish best reviews this property.

“ I just want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to experience Son Viguet. I truly can’t describe the feelings that came over me whilst being there. I think that must be what true happiness feels like. The beauty, the friendship, the love and history that surround that place really become a part of every moment spent there. Reflecting back on our trip I tried to put into words some the moments that overcame me with, what I have come to call a feeling of complete and utter “zen”. These moments brought me to tears of pure joy and disbelief of how lucky I am. Like witnessing Ben propose to your daughter on the terrace at midnight under the moonlight! OMG! Or standing looking out at that view of the rolling hills below us, with the warm wind in my hair and the sun shining on my face, Or sitting under the pink skies of the sunset, at a table on the terrace with our closest friends eating a meal we had all made together and laughing until our stomachs ached. I wanted to say thank you for giving me those moments, like so many more that will stay with me forever and which I will cherish for the rest of my life. That is one special place you have there. I am beyond grateful. Lots of Love Cara.”

  • Awesome

Our stay at son viguet was nothing short of fabulous. We were three families which housed us very comfortably. The views from the pool and master bedroom are breathtaking. Close by there is a charming winery (buy the wine here and not at the supermarket). Make sure you take the effort to do the hike to he outlook on Dragonera. You won’t be disappointed. We are not cyclists but there seems to be many around. The property is a short drive to the port of Andratx which has little shops and restaurants to choose from. Son viguet was a lovely retreat and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it!

  • Exceeded my expectations in every way!

Our friends and family across the world met for a week in Mallorca and absolutely fell in love with Son Viguet. I had dreamed about this finca for a few years until we finally pulled the trigger. It exceeded my expectations in every way! Lots of rooms for everyone and beautiful views where ever you look. A peaceful retreat to return to after a busy day in Palma or on a beach. Thank you Hamish and team! What a very special place you have. Thank you for sharing with us!
